Video:WWE Tries To Set Up Interview With Glenn Beck

STAMFORD, Conn., February 25, 2013 – Glenn Beck declined WWE’s invitation to address our fans live on Raw® tonight and then hid from WWE reporters when approached this evening at his studios in Dallas. WWE attempted to get comment from Beck but was unable to gain building access after Beck’s representatives said he was “not in the building,” which clearly couldn’t be the case just prior to his show airing live from the same studio.

Beck referenced WWE as “stupid wrestling people” in a segment that aired on TheBlaze TV last week, criticizing a recent WWE storyline involving WWE characters World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio™, Jack Swagger™ and Zeb Colter™.

Similar to other television shows and feature films, WWE is in the entertainment business, creating fictional characters that serve as protagonists or antagonists. To create compelling and relevant content for our audience, it is important to incorporate current events into our storylines.

WWE is creating a rivalry centered on a topical subject that has varying points of view. This storyline was developed to build the Mexican American character Del Rio into a hero given WWE’s large Latino base, which represents 20 percent of our audience.

Live Results for WWE Raw 2/25/13

Tonight's Raw comes from Dallas, Texas. Two big matches tonight, with McMahon set to take on Paul Heyman and CM Punk vs. John Cena, with the winner to take on The Rock at Mania 29 in 6 weeks time.

We start with the usual 'Previously on WWE' video package.

Vince is in the ring, explaining what happened last week with a replay of his challenge to Paul Heyman. He says he's looking forward to it and brings out 'The Ultimate Fighter', Paul Heyman, in a tracksuit. Heyman says that he's all man and is ready to take on a crippled Vince. He asks that Vince reconsider his actions, only to cheap shot Vince, attack him and hits him with one of his crutches. Vince then manages to get the upper hand and hit Heyman with his other crutch. HERE COMES THE PAIN hits and Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring. He stares down Vince when he gets there, but before he can make a move, TRIPLE H's music hits and he appears on the stage, makes his way down to ringside and he and Lesnar start brawling on the outside. Lesnar gets busted open pretty bad on the back of his head, it seems. Lesnar looks to be getting the upper hand and goes for a chair from under the ring, only to be hit with a spinebuster and then the aforementioned steel chair by HHH. Lesnar then rolls out the ring and heads off up the ramp. The worst kept secret for Mania looks to have been finally revealed.

Later tonight, it's Cena vs. Punk for the shot at the Rock's WWE Title at Wrestlemania 29. MizTV is also coming later on with both Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger with Zeb Coulter as his guests. Ryback is backstage making his way to the ring, looks like he will be taking on Dolph Ziggler next.

Looks as if Smackdown this week will be SMS Smackdown, with emphasis on social media, with live tweets, live polls and live Touts throughout the night. I wonder how this will work for a taped show, hmm.

Dolph Ziggler is already in the ring, accompanied as ever by AJ Lee and Big E. Langston. Ryback then makes his way to the ring.

Match 1 - Doloh Ziggler (w/ AJ Lee & Big E. Langston) vs. Ryback
Good opening match here. Ryback gets the win with Shellshock.
WINNER - Ryback

Promo for The Call, WWE's new film coming in out in a few weeks, starring Halle Berry and WWE's David Otunga.

CM Punk is making his way out now to the ring, it looks as if he'll be cutting a promo when they come back from a break.

Raw Recap now, with a reminder of last week's Cena vs. Punk announcement for tonight.

CM Punk now in the ring with mic in hand. He says that history will happen tonight which will show the end as well as the beginning. He adds that it's not about the Rock tonight, nor the WWE Title, nor Wrestlemania, nor is it about the people, it's about him and getting his chance to be in the main event of Wrestlemania 29. He says that he's beaten Cena many times and pinned Rock twice in 4 weeks. He's the best in the world and an icon, he's immortal, a legend, an icon, the greatest and he's God. ... Well, there's Undertaker's ammunition for coming back.

Hall of Fame talk now, with the latest inductee announced from it's celebrity wing, Donald Trump.

Next up. it's Mark Henry vs. Great Khali.

Great Khali and Mark Henry are already in the ring.

Match 2 - Great Khali vs. Mark Henry
This seems impossible to say for two big men, but this was a squash match, Henry winning with the World's Strongest Slam, 'cos that's what he do.
WINNER - Mark Henry

Marine 3 promo and clip now being shown. Doesn't look too bad.

The Miz is now making his way out now, MizTV will be coming up after the break.

Fandango Promo... he will be debuting apparently on Friday's Smackdown... at last we might see him.

MizTV is already underway, with all his guests already in the ring as we come back from break. Zeb brings up Glenn Beck and then turns to how 11 million people in America are 'illegals' and how that's crippling America. Del Rio apparently represents success and the Amercian Dream (no, not Dusty Rhodes) and can be seen as an inspiration to illegals. Del Rio's had enough, saying that the United States belongs to everyone and if you work hard, then you deserve to reap the awards that you get. He wants to fight them now for their bigoted views, but swagger gets the mic and says he'll wait until Wrestlemania, before heading out the ring with Zeb. Good promo here. #WEEDthe People.

Punk vs. Cena is up later. Randy Orton is backstage, he will be taking on Antonio Cesaro next.

WWE RAW GOES OLD SCHOOL NEXT WEEK!!!

Apparently during the break, Jack Swagger attacked The Miz on the ramp after Zeb wasn't happy with Miz's approach to the interview tonight.

Antonio Cesaro is in the ring, flying his US flag. Randy Orton is out next.

Match 3 - Antonio Cesaro vs. Randy Orton
Decent match. Cesaro jumps from the middle rope, only to receive an RKO from Orton, which gets Randy the win.
WINNER - Randy Orton

Team Hell No are backstage, with water under the bridge for everything that happened last week. They're going to be taking on the Prime Time Players. Bryan says he can take them on blindfolded alone, and Kane says he'll take them out alone one-handed. Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox (or Team Brickie, apparently) then appear, Brad always trying to interrupt his boss it seems, with a plan for tonight's match for the tag match with Bryan to be blindfolded and Kane to have one hand tied behind his back. Still don't get Brad's purpose in this role.

They're now showing the classic Wrestlemania 21 promo parody of A Few Good Men, with John Cena & JBL. Still a great little package to this day. Sheamus's Oscar snubs is up next. Uh Oh.

Just confirmed from the WWE Active feed, Miz will face Swagger later on.

Tout your thoughts on Triple H and Lesnar, apparently.

Sheamus is out in a suit, for his Oscar snubs. He saw the Oscars on tape, and apparently they snubbed Wade Barrett. They then show the trailer for Dead Man Down again. They then find a clip from the movie with Wade in, with him out of focus in the background and not doing anything. Cue Wade Barrett making his way out. He says that Sheamus is jealous of him for appearing in the film and becoming a star. He'll be at the world première tomorrow, when Sheamus will be in an Irish pub. Sheamus then says to make sure that the papparazzi get Wade's good side, only to bring up his nose. The leads to Wade trying to attack Sheamus, who dodges it. He goes for the Brogue Kick, but Wade gets out the ring, bringing up his première appearance tomorrow.

Punk vs. Cena is coming later and The Shield apparently have a message for WWE to come later as well.

Cody Rhodes is out now for a match, his opponent will be R-Truth, his first match since TLC 2012. Damien Sandow is on commentary for this.

Match 4 - Cody Rhodes vs. R-Truth
Quick little match. R-Truth gets the win.
WINNER - R-Truth

Immediately, Damien Sandow tries to attack R-Truth, but he manages to fend him off and celebrates his win in the ring.

#WEEDthePeople and Zeb with a Youtube promo on Jobs. Miz vs. Swagger will be coming up later tonight.

The Prime Time Players and Team Hell No are both out, with the stipulations added to the match as stated earlier.

Match 5 - The Prime Time Players (Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) vs. Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) [Kane has a hand tied behind his back, Bryan is blindfolded]
Decent little match, obviously featuring some comedic spots with the stipulations added to the match. Kane gets the win for his team with a chokeslam on Young.
WINNERS - Team Hell No

The Shield's message is up next.

A recap of earlier with McMahon, Heyman, Lesnar & HHH.

The Shield are now making their way through the crowd to the ring. They say that they will not be stopped, no matter who is put in front of them. They challenge anyone to come out. Sheamus appears on the stage and asks them to come up the ramp. Roman and Dean go up and Rollins stays in the ring, only for Randy Orton to make a run in and hit Seth with a RKO and head out back into the crowd. Shield look on from the ring not happy.

Coming up later, Punk vs. Cena. But up next, it's Jack Swagger vs. The Miz.

A recap of what happened before the break with Orton giving the RKO to Rollins.

Jack Swagger is in the ring ready for his match, Miz makes his way out and they replay the attack from earlier on tonight.

Match 6 - Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Coulter) vs. The Miz
Decent match here. Swagger get  the submission victory with the Patriot Lock. Apparently this submission hold is getting a new name every week.
WINNER - Jack Swagger

A reminder now of Rock unveiling the new design of the WWE title, and the subsequent interaction with Cena & Punk. And now a reminder of Punk vs. Cena coming later tonight.

They now show a tout from HHH earlier tonight. Very good little promo. They then recap the opening of Raw with Lesnar and HHH. They now have Tout reactions.

Josh Matthews is now backstage with John Cena. He says that no matter who wins, the better man will go on to Wrestlemania 29 and he's confident that he's back in form at the right time, his time is now. Cena vs. Punk is next.

They then mention Robot Combat League, hosted by Chris Jericho, and show the advert for that, which can be seen on SyFy tomorrow.

Back from break and they show the tout with Undertaker's appearance at the house show this weekend.

CM Punk makes his way out to the ring, followed by John Cena. Justin Roberts gives the introductions and we are underway.

Match 7 - CM Punk vs. John Cena (The winner will face The Rock for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania 29)
Fantastic match here. Cena gets the win with a 'huracunrana' followed by an AA. Cena is going to Wrestlemania.
WINNER - John Cena

John Cena heads up the ramp as Raw goes off the air.

Despite the so-so middle of tonight's show, the bookends of the HHH and Lesnar brawl and the fantastic Cena vs. Punk match have overall made tonight a good show. Next week, Raw goes Old School from Albany, New York as the Road To Wrestlemania continues. Make sure you're here next week for all the action from that. But until then... ASHLEY OUT

Donald Trump Announced For WWE Hall of Fame

On Saturday, April 6, 2013, real estate mogul, best-selling author and perennial thorn in Mr. McMahon’s side Donald Trump will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside Bruno Sammartino, Mick Foley, Bob Backlund and Trish Stratus in Madison Square Garden. (TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW)

“Donald is a global icon whose status brought an unmatched level of publicity and grandeur to WWE,” WWE Chairman and CEO Mr. McMahon said.

The star and co-producer of the hit NBC series, "The Apprentice" — which premieres its 13th season on Sunday, March 3 — Trump has been a key figure in WWE since 1988 when his Trump Plaza hosted WrestleMania IV. The following year, WrestleMania V emanated from the same building, making it the first venue to present consecutive Show of Shows. (TRUMP'S FULL PROFILE)

The Donald’s most lasting impact on WWE occurred at WrestleMania 23 when he put his famous head of hair on the line against Mr. McMahon’s mane in a “Battle of the Billionaires.” A record number of viewers tuned in to see Trump back Bobby Lashley to victory over Mr. McMahon’s Umaga and then shave The Chairman’s head in front of more than 80,000 WWE fans.

“It was literally the thrill of a lifetime performing in front of 80,000 enthusiastic fans during the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ match at WrestleMania 23,” Donald Trump said.

Trump wasn’t done with Mr. McMahon just yet as he returned in 2009 to purchase Monday Night Raw from his rival. The following week, The Donald presented the show commercial-free and gave every fan in attendance a full refund. Mr. McMahon was so incensed with Trump’s actions that he was cornered into buying his program back for twice the price. (PHOTOS OF TRUMP)

“I’ve always enjoyed and respected WWE’s brand of entertainment and look forward to the ceremony in my hometown at Madison Square Garden,” the Chairman and President of The Trump Organization said.

Want to be there when The Donald enters the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6? Tickets for the Induction Ceremony are on sale now and available at the MSG box office, online at Ticketmaster.com and various Ticketmaster outlets, or charge by phone at 800-745-3000. Ticket prices range from $50 to $150.
