Talk Of Dolph Ziggler Turing Face

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, There has been a lot of internal talk about Dolph Ziggler's future lately.

Officials have discussed breaking Big E Langston away from Ziggler and AJ Lee but it sounds like he might stay with AJ. They are discussing this not because of a possible Langston face turn but because of a Ziggler babyface turn.

Vince McMahon has been changing his mind back and forth on Ziggler as a babyface but it's more when and not if. A lot of people in the company feel that Ziggler will take off huge as a babyface when the call is made. The fact that Ziggler is already popular in the New York market is said to be influencing Vince's decision.

Report:WWE Offer Brock Lesnar New Contract

WWE officials have offered Brock Lesnar a new contract. They want him locked in for another year before WrestleMania. It's believed the new deal is similar to the deal he signed last year - several million dollars, a few major pay-per-view events and the TV shows building up to those events.

Lesnar has not signed the deal and probably won't sign any time soon because that's how he operates, likely negotiating until the end. Some within WWE are under the impression that he's in the creative plans for after WrestleMania 29.

Regarding a potential Lesnar vs. The Undertaker match, a source noted that Taker is really hurting bad and since Lesnar works a very physical style, officials are very leery of ever doing that match

Current Script For WWE Royal Rumble

The current layout for WWE's Royal Rumble pay-per-view has a Rumble qualifying match planned for the YouTube pre-show, a Divas Title match that has not been determined yet, Kane and Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk vs. The Rock and the 30-man Rumble match.

A timed out script shows the Divas match for 10 minutes, the Tag Team Title match for 10 minutes, the World Heavyweight Title match for 20 minutes, the WWE Title match for 30 minutes and the Rumble main event set for 70 minutes total. These times include intros, the match itself and post-match happenings.

The script does not have winners or Rumble entrants at this point but does show that no other matches are scheduled such as The Miz vs. Antonio Cesaro.

More On WWE Not Using Old Names On 20th Anniversary of RAW

While WWE discussed a possible Evolution reunion for the 20th Anniversary of RAW on Monday, they never contacted Batista to appear. They also never contacted Chris Jericho. A lot of names were contacted to appear but were told later that the decision was made not to bring anyone back.

New Head Writer In WWE NXT

Dusty Rhodes is no longer writing the WWE NXT TV episodes. Rhodes was the writer when NXT taped in Tampa but since moving the tapings to Full Sail University, Ryan Ward is the new head writer. Triple H has been working as the editor and people have raved about how smooth the tapings go.

TV Rating Breakdown for WWE Raw 1/14/13

As reported before, he January 14th episode of WWE RAW did a 3.19 rating with 4.54 million viewers. This was the biggest audience for RAW since the 1,000th episode on July 23rd, 2012.

In the segment breakdown, they opened strong with Vince McMahon, Big Show and Alberto Del Rio doing a 3.44 quarter rating. Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton lost 171,000 viewers, which is good considering how strong the opener was. Kane vs. Damien Sandow and the Mick Foley Hall of Fame announcement plus the brawl with The Shield, Sheamus, Ryback and Orton lost 497,000 viewers. Ryback's interview plus Kaitlyn vs. Eve Torres for the Divas Title gained 509,000 viewers at 9pm for a 3.33 quarter rating.

Brodus Clay vs. CM Punk lost 149,000 viewers. Punk's post-match interview, the video of past RAW car moments plus the backstage segment with The Rock, Foley and Vickie Guerrero gained 142,000 viewers. Sheamus vs. 3MB in a Over the Top Challenge plus a John Cena segment lost 202,000 viewers. MizTV with Ric Flair, The Miz and Antonio Cesaro gained 449,000 viewers at 10pm for the show's peak rating of 3.50.

Cody Rhodes vs. Daniel Bryan plus a backstage segment with AJ Lee, Big E Langston and Dolph Ziggler lost 752,000 viewers - which is likely to be among the biggest drops of this year. Cena vs. Ziggler in the steel cage match gained 118,000 viewers. The closing segment with The Rock's concert and the brawl with Punk gained 207,000 viewers for a 3.20 quarter rating. That gain is considered low for a RAW overrun.

WNL returned to the airwaves on the SNS Radio Network ( on 1-15-13 with “The Bronx-Father” Tony J. Mirabella and”Mr. Money on the Mic” JJ $exay.
The boys started off the show talking about the 20th Anniversary oF Monday Night RAW and the apparent lack of former superstars gracing the show, Cena vs Dolph in a cage, The Rock Concert and the explosive ending to the show building toward The Royal Rumble.
After the break JJ talked about the upcoming card for the Jan 18 2013 Hart Legacy Wrestling iPPV. Recently it was reported by several news sites that El Generico had been pulled from the card but JJ confirmed from the HLW office that El Generico will be at the show and so will recently released WWE Superstar Trent Baretta. JJ randown the latest “News of the Week”sponsored by including the latest on Eve quitting the WWE, Kevin Nash’s recent comments on John Travolta that have offended some people, and the latest on the Hulkster suing somebody else…this time for $50 million …Brother….(Somebody must be broke). After the final break JJ and Bronx opened up the phone lines and took calls/read emails and in usual WNL Fashion hillarity ensued and JJ wrapped up the show with some Huey “Back in Time”…BROTHER…on this latest episode of Wrestling News Live
