Live Results for WWE Monday Night Raw 9/17/12

Ashley here one again and it's time for some Monday Night Raw live results. It looks like that JR will be joining JBL and Cole on commentary tonight, so I'm really looking forward to this, along with all the fallout from last night's PPV, including the situaition with the WWE title and it's controversial finish.

We open with CM Punk's music and Paul Heyman comes down to the ring. Heyman says that he was happy to see Punk retain the title, despite the controversy. He then calls the ref for last night, Chad Patton, to the ring to explain his actions last night, calling the pinfall on both guys. Heyman then presents a different angle of the finish thanks to a camera phone video showing what was confirmed last night.

Cena is now making his way out. He says that he didn't disagree with the pinfall but disagreed with the fact the result was a draw so that there was no definitive winner of the match and that Punk hasn't really earned respect for the manner that he retained his title. Cena says that he wants to have the match again tonight to find a definitive winner. Heyman says that he will get his answer from Punk later tonight.

Alberto Del Rio now interrupts them, unhappy with the Brogue kick being unbanned last night and that he deserves a rematch against Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title.

AJ now comes out and says that she's setting up a super main event for tonight, with Alberto Del Rio & CM Punk to team up to take on Sheamus & John Cena, with the result of the match possibly being a factor on a possibility of a rematch.

Shot of Sin Cara & Rey Mysterio backstage, they'll be tagging up next.

Back from break and Cole is in a 'Long Live The King' t-shirt giving them more info on Jerry, including his Tout and that he's out of hospital. JBL and JR are now coming out to join Cole on commentary.

Looks like Primo, Epico & Rosa Mendes are already in the ring, Mysterio & Sin Cara are out next.

Match 1 - Primo & Epico (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara
Thanks to a double team from Mysterio & Sin Cara, Cara hits the senton bomb on Epico to win.

WINNERS - Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara

They celebrate, only to be attacked by Darrn Young & Titus O'Neil, already unhappy with the fact that they lost their tag team title shot last week.

Later tonight, not only do we have the Cena/Sheamus vs. Punk/Del Rio main event, but also scheduled is a Tag Team Title rematch as Daniel Bryan & Kane defend the belts against the former champs, Kofi Kingston & R-Truth.

Back from break and Beth Phoenix is in the ring. Layla is also at the commentary desk. Eve Torres now makes her way out for a match.

Match 2 - Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres
Throughout this match, they discuss the fact that Kaitlin was mysteriously injured and Eve took her place. Eve gets the win with a schoolboy pin on Beth.

WINNER - Beth Phoenix

Eve and Layla have a staredown after the match has finished.

Slam of the week from Smackdown last week when Antonio Cesaro got involved with Brodus Clay. Brodus Clay makes his way down to the ring, with Naomi & Cameron. Antonio Cesaro is at ringside with Aksana. Brodus's opponent is Heath Slater. Yay.

Match 3 - Brodus Clay vs. Heath Slater
Poor match, Brodus wins with  a splash on Slater. Wow, that was a waste of 4 minutes.

WINNER - Brodus Clay

Miz is backstage, and the DEBUT episode of MizTV is up next!

We're back and Miz's music is on so we are underway with MizTV. He first says that he's pleased to be hosting his own chat show. He boasts that he's still the champion and brings out his first ever guest, the Smackdown GM Booker T. He keeps talking about himself, Booker T's failings as a GM and a point to note is that Booker is not being allowed to talk. Booker isn't happy with this and sets Miz up with a new guest... RYBACK! This show may be cancelled soon! Ryback comes in and destroys the entire set... wow, big guys know how to dismantle furniture.

Another mention of Jerry Lawler now.

Back from break and Punk & Heyman are talking backstage, when Josh Matthews asks his thoughts on tonight. Punk just says that he deserves respect for what happened last night.

Santino is coming out now, so it looks like another match is coming. We hear Vickie Guerrero, and that means only one thing and Dolph Ziggler comes out next.

Match 4 - Santino Marella vs. Dolph Ziggler
Thanks to interference from Vickie, Dolph gets the win with not one but TWO Zig Zag's

WINNER - Dolph Ziggler

Recap from last night, with both Bryan & Kane wanting to be proclaimed as individual tag champs rather than as a team. The rematch with those guys defending against Kofi & R-Truth later tonight.

Back from break and another recap now with Wade Barrett saying that he will be facing off against someone this week. Wade Barrett is coming out now with a sweet T-shirt & theme. His opponent is going to be Justin Gabriel.

Match 5 - Wade Barrett vs. Justin Gabriel
Decent match here, Wade getting the win with his clothesline elbow finisher.

WINNER - Wade Barrett

Subway backstage promo now, with Jared from Subway's now giving subs to Kofi, R-Truth, Little Jimmy, Damien Sandow, Zack Ryder and finally Ryback... strange promo. Not sure whether is was good or crazy.

Kane & Bryan individually walking down corridors saying that they're the champion, their tag team match is next.

Back from break, and we see some video from earlier today with Lawler leaving his plane in Memphis. Kofi & Truth are out first, followed by Daniel Bryan and finally Kane.

Match 6 - WWE Tag Team Titles - Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Daniel Bryan & Kane (c)
Once again, despite the guys not being able to seemingly co-exist, Kane gives a chokeslam to Truth and Bryan blind tags in and wins by putting Truth in the No Lock, which Truth taps out.

WINNERS - Daniel Bryan & Kane

The guys still arn't happy with each other, but Bryan offers a hug and they hug it out in the ring again. Wow, they're really going full pelt on this angle.

Randy Orton is backstage. He's got a match coming up next against Tensai. This should be awesome (SARCASM)

Back from break, and Randy Orton is making his way to the ring. Tensai is out next, pushing Sakamoto out of the way.

Match 7 - Randy Orton vs. Tensai
Decent match, but an RKO on Tensai gives Orton the victory.

WINNER - Randy Orton

Punk and Heyman backstage, approached by Del Rio & Otunga saying that Del Rio should be the leader tonight. Heyman & Punk then say that he's not behind anyone. They then both sarcasticly agree that they're happy to be tag teaming together.

Damien Sandow is now coming out, offering an alternative vocabulary for people to use, rather than words like Slobberknocker. Zack Ryder then comes out and says that he has two words for Sandow, Shut and Up. He then says that AJ had set up a match between them. The match starts and we go straight to commercial. Weird move by WWE.

Match 8 - Damien Sandow vs. Zack Ryder
Okay match, Sandow gets the win with his neckbreaker finish on Ryder.

Another mention of Lawler and apparently there will be an interview with Jerry Lawler on next week's Raw. Up next after the break is the main event with Cena & Sheamus taking on Del Rio & Punk.

Back from break and the World Heavyweight champ Sheamus is out first for the main event, followed by John Cena. Next out is Alberto Del Rio in his Rolls-Royce and finally the WWE Champion, CM Punk.

Match 9 - Sheamus & John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio & CM Punk
Before the match starts, Punk does the same thing as last night and raises the belt above his head in the ring for many minutes before the match gets underway. Finish comes with Sheamus hitting the brogue kick on Del Rio, Punk then takes Sheamus out, only for Cena to AA Punk. However, with the pinfall, Punk had his foot on the rope, but the referee didn't see it.

WINNERS - John Cena & Sheamus

Punk & Heyman are angry at the referee for the call that was made as they go off air.

So yet more controversy tonight. Cena benefits tonight from a referee call as Punk benefitted from one last night and Bryan & Kane are still not a fully fledged performing tag team. But most importantly is that Jerry Lawler is doing well a week on from his health scare. Can't wait for next week for the interview. But until then... ASHLEY OUT
