Live Raw results for 8/20/2012

Whatsup guys and gals, its time for WWE Raw, and tonight is definitely going to be a packed show. We have Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman kicking off the show, with supposedly Shawn Micheals to appear to talk about HHH during the show. Whats going to happen? Stay right here and find out. Don't forget to join us over at for a live chat during the show with myself and the rest of the SNS family.

Brock and Heyman are in the ring, talking about how HHH can take punishment. How a torn quad could not stop HHH, but Brock Lesnar stopped him last night. Heyman saying that Lesnar forced HHH to quit on his family, friends, the company, and all the WWE Universe. Heyman says he doesnt feel sorry for what he did, that HHH pulled Scott Armstrong into his lockerroom and HHH asked for the rules to be bent. Now Lesnar and Heyman wants Scott in the ring. But Scott does not come out. Armstrong finally comes out, and Heyman asks Armstrong that HHH asked that it was a fight to the finish, is that correct? Heyman says that Lesnar has 2 words for Armstrong, Lesnar grabs Armstrong close, and says good job. Heyman then annoints Brock Lesnar the new King of Kings. Heyman then calls Lesnar the conqueror of the WWE. And they leave the ring.

1st match 6 man tag match
R-Truth/Kofi Kingston/Sin Cara vs Cody Rhodes/Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil/Darren Young)
Winner(s): R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, and Sin Cara via pinfall after a rollup with a bridge from Sin Cara on Cody Rhodes.

Backstage we see AJ Lee with Matt Striker, but before she can speak, David Otunga makes a appearance offering AJ some legal guidance, when people call her crazy. She looks at him for a second, and then says if he wants to offer his services, he can do it in the ring tonight against a opponent she chooses.

2nd match 2 on 1 Handicap match
Ryback vs 2 local jobbers
Winner: Ryback via DQ.
Note: Jinder Mahal attacked Ryback as he went for his finisher.

Backstage we see Chris Jericho texting, but Dolph Ziggler confronts him, saying he needs a rematch to remain relevant. AJ Lee comes in and says tonight they will face off, but it will be more interesting. If Jericho loses, his contract is over. If Ziggler loses, his money in the bank contract goes to Jericho.

In the ring we see Alberto Del Rio complaining about being robbed last night as his foot was on the ropes. He said he demands another match, and out comes AJ Lee. AJ says that since ADR is in her ring, all dressed to wrestle, she will give Booker something to think about, as ADR will face this man.....RANDY ORTON.

3rd match Singles match
Randy Orton vs Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall after the RKO

4th match Singles match
Brodus Clay vs Damien Sandow
Winner: Damien Sandow via pinfall with a rollup with handfull of tights

Time for the interview with Shawn Micheals, Cole asks what is Shawns feelings at this time. Shawn says he thinks he knows whats going through HHH's head, because he can prepare, but you can't prepare for Brock Lesnar. Shawn says that last night we may have seen the last of a warrior. Last night, HHH left everything in the ring. Shawn says that he looks back at him being there, and it was stupid, he was a distraction, had he been there last night, he doesn't think it would have mattered that he had been there. He told HHH he knew where his heart was, but he didn't tell him the truth, that he didn't think HHH could beat Brock Lesnar. Its not easy to look at your friend, and tell them that its over for them. Shawn says that he will always respect HHH, he has always loved him, and they all love him. From himself and the entire WWE Universe he thanks HHH for a job well done.

5th match Singles match (AJ chooses Otungas opponent)
David Otunga vs Big Show
Winner: Big Show via pinfall after the WMD

6th match Tag Team match
Kane/Zack Ryder vs Miz/Daniel Bryan
Winner: No Decision

Kane went absolutely berserk, chokeslamming and tombstoning Zack Ryder.

Backstage we see CM Punk with Matt Striker, basically trying to figure out who his next opponent for the title. CM Punk says that his next opponent is John Cena, but based on 1 condition, and later on, if Cena agrees to the condition, Cena gets his shot. CM Punk is going to demand respect from Cena.

7th match Divas Battle Royal
Alicia Fox vs Kelly Kelly vs Tamina vs Eve vs Natalya vs Rosa Mendez vs Aksana vs Katlyn vs Beth Phoenix
Winner: Katlyn via eliminating Eve to get the win.

8th match Contract vs Contract (If Jericho wins, he gets the Money in the Bank contract. If Ziggler wins, Chris Jericho's contract is null and void.)
Dolph Ziggler vs Chris Jericho
Winner: Dolph Ziggler via pinfall after the zigzag
Note: Jerichos contract is now null and void. After the match, Jericho attacked Ziggler with the briefcase, and hits a codebreaker on Ziggler.

Back in the ring, CM Punk is running down Jerry Lawler, telling him he wants an apology, but John Cena comes out and interrupts CM Punk. Punk basically says that he has taken a back seat to Cena, HHH, and the Rock, but Punk is tired of that. Punk says that no matter where his match is, his match is the main event, he lets Cena go on in the last match because he respects him. Punk says hes tired of taking the back seat. Punk looks out, and he sees the Cenation in California and it dawns on Punk what he has to have Cena do. Punk is going to make Cena admit that Punk is the best in the world. Cena says that Punk has been the champ for 9 months, so that means Cena hasn't been the champ in 9 months. Cena talks about how if the local college team loses the championship, their fans won't turn their backs on him, just like Cena won't turn his back on them himself. Cena says that he is not there to stroke his ego. Cena says that he will not say that Punk is not the best in the world, and if Punk decides against him, then thats fine. But at Night of Champions, its in Cena's backyard, and if Punk wins there, he is the best in the world no matter what. Cena walks out of the ring. Punk then turns around, and tells Lawler he wants to finish the conversation. Punk tells Lawler to get in the ring and apoligize to him. Lawler gets in the ring, and Punk tells him he went a little too far, and he wants a apology. King says ok, and apologizes to Punk, but Punk says that he is not finished. Punk says that since Cena won't say it, he wants King to say it, because he is the Minister of Propaganda, and he wants Lawler to tell everyone he is the best in the world. Lawler says he can't say that, and tries to walk out of the ring, but Punk kicks him in the back of the head before he can leave. Punk picks up the belt, and bends down to where Lawler is laying, and stays there as the fans boo him completely, and the cameras fade to black.

And thats it, what a Raw, action packed, lots of good matches, and a huge ending. Well, I will see you guys next week, have a good one.

More On Triple H's "Retirement" Angle From SummerSlam

Triple H's retirement tease was designed to look like Shawn Michaels' farewell exit at Wrestlemania 26, right down to how it was shot.

The idea was to tease that HHH was finished as a performer in the ring. The idea here was that Brock Lesnar did "indeed break the spirit of the WWE" and now HHH, who's usually the master of all things, is the one with doubts and doesn't know if he can come back. The plan is to build to a rematch down the line with Survivor Series being mentioned as a possibility.
