Live Results for WWE Raw 30/4/12

So what will happen tonight, following the aftermath of last night's Extreme Rules PPV? Will John Cena make an appearance? Will Jericho continue to pursue CM Punk? And will Lesnar make excuses? Make sure you stay tuned then to this post to find out all that's going down on WWE Monday Night Raw (starring Brock Lesnar)

We start with a video package of last night's Lesnar vs. Cena match with Cena's speech that closed the show.

We open the show properly with John Laurinitis coming to the ring, who in turn introduces the 'star of the show', Brock Lesnar. Brock says that he brought the pain last night. CUE TRIPLE H. Triple H says that Lesnar's freewheeling through the company is over, the transport, the pay and the name of the show... Monday Night Raw, adding that no-one is bigger than the show. Triple H tears up the agreed contract from last week, saying that he didn't authorise it, with the original contract being OK. HHH adds that even though people may not like Lesnar, they want to see him fight all the top talent on the WWE roster.

He offers Lesnar the contract that was originally signed, and Laurinitis keeps interrupting the discussions. Triple H turns to him to stop him, when Brock Lesnar attacks him and puts on his UFC submission move, the Kimora, on Triple H's arm, which, according to Triple H is broken. Sheamus, Big Show, R-Truth and Kofi come out to help Triple H and Lesnar leaves ringside but leaves through the side rather than the Titantron.

We come back with a recap of Lesnar's attack. Triple H is now backstage, feeling in a bad way saying that he felt the bone break.

Eve comes out to announce a 'Beat The Clock' challenge tonight with 5 matches, where the fastest winner will receive a shot at CM Punk's WWE Championship at Over The Limit in 3 weeks.

Miz makes his way out first, followed by Santino Marella

Match 1 - BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE - The Miz vs. Santino Marella
Match ends with Santino going for the Cobra only for Miz to power out and lock in the Skull Crushing Finale.
WINNER - The Miz
TIME - 4:18

We are back with a recap of the Divas title match from last night.

The Bellas are in the ring for a Triple Threat match as the champion, Layla, comes out

Match 2 - Triple Threat Divas Championshp Match - Brie Bella vs. Nikki Bella vs. Layla (c)
The Bellas are arguing with each other. Layla drop kicks them, knocking one out of the ring. Layla rolls up the other Bella to retain in about 20 seconds. Bye Bye Bellas, thanks for coming and wishing you well in your future endeavours (I guess).
WINNER & STILL Divas Champion - Layla

We get a replay and as Cole & Lawler go a recap, the lights go out and Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring. His 'Beat The Clock' challenge match and his opponent will be revealed after the break.

We are back with a recap of the WWE title match from last night.

Big Show makes his way down to the ring as Jericho's opponent.

Match 3 - BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE - Chris Jericho vs. Big Show
TIME TO BEAT - 4:18
Match finishes with both men outside after chokeslam and WMD attempts and attempted Walls of Jericho and codebreakers from Jericho in the ring. Jericho is by the crowd barrier and Show runs for him, but careens over the barrier, Jericho rolls in to answer the 10 count and win the match, but it's unclear whether is was in time with the clock as the 10 coincided with the time running out. We go to a break while they apparently figure it out.
WINNER - Chris Jericho

We are back from break and Jericho apparently didn't get it done in time, so Miz's time still stands as the time to beat.

MIZ'S TIME - 4:18

Funkasurus is making his way out to the ring for a match and his opponent is JTG. (Another future endeavoured talent?)

Match 4 - Brodus Clay vs. JTG
Typical squash match from Brodus. Funkasaurus gets the win.
WINNER - Brodus Clay

We now get a recap of last night's Lesnar vs. Cena match with Cena's speech that closed the show, followed by a recap of the HHH, Laurinitis & Lesnar ring discussion and attack. Lesnar was escorted out by security apparently.

Laurinitis is backstage with Eve and eve says that the company needs a leader, now that Lesnar is on his own and out of control, adding that Cena should have a good opponent for Over The Limit. Laurinitis decides that Cena's opponent will be one that he won't like.

Another 'Beat The Clock' challenge match is next with Randy Orton making his way out to the ring and will face Jack Swagger after the break.

We are back from break with a recap of Kane & Orton's match from last night, followed by Vickie Guerrero introducing Jack Swagger.

Match 5 - BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE - Randy Orton vs. Jack Swagger (w/ Vickie Guerrero)
TIME TO BEAT - 4:18
Finish comes when Orton goes for his RKO only for Swagger to reverse it into the Ankle Lock. Orton powers out of it and hit s the RKO and gets the pinfall with 2 seconds to spare.
WINNER - Randy Orton

ORTON HAS SET THE NEW TIME OF 4:16

We are told that Cena will find out his Over The Limit opponent later tonight. Next up after the break will be a Tag Team Championship match between the champions Primo & Epico taking on Kofi Kingston & R-Truth.

Match 6 - WWE Tag Team Championship Match - Primo & Epico (c) (w/ Rosa Mendes) vs. R-Truth & Kofi Kingston (w/Lil Jimmy)
I added in Little Jimmy because the match started with Primo dropkicking Lil Jimmy. Yes, really. Anyway, the match finishes with Kofi hitting Trouble In Paradise on Epico as Rosa tried to interfere and Primo got hit by R-Truth in the ropes

WINNERS & NEW WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS - Kofi Kingston & R-Truth (Little Jimmy Boom Boom?)

We found out during that match that medics have diagnosed that Triple H's arm has been broken.

Next up after the break, another 'Beat The Clock' challenge match with Kane set to face off against Kane.

We are back with Primo, Epico and Rosa arguing, as Abraham Washington appears to discusss a deal with them. As this gets underway, we cut to Khali in the ring and Kane comes out soon after.

Match 7 - BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE - The Great Khali vs. Kane
TIME TO BEAT - 4:16
Time runs out as both men try to give each other chokeslams.
NO WINNER

RANDY ORTON IS STILL THE MAN TO BEAT at 4:16

Daniel Bryan will be in the last 'Beat The Clock' challenge match which will be coming up after the break.

Smackdown promo, hyping the main event of Sheamus & Randy Orton teaming up to take on Daniel Bryan & Kane.

Daniel Bryan comes out to his typical 'YES' chants.

And his opponent is... wait a second, JERRY THE KING LAWLER?

Match 8 - BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE - Daniel Bryan vs. Jerry 'The King' Lawler
TIME TO BEAT - 4:16
Finish comes with Bryan locking in the YES lock and Lawler immediately tapped out with 1:55 left on the clock.
WINNER - Daniel Bryan in 2:21

DANIEL BRYAN WILL FACE CM PUNK FOR THE WWE TITLE AT OVER THE LIMIT!

CM Punk came out and stared down with Bryan in the ring as we go to break with the Cena announcement next.

Yet another recap of Triple H, Laurinitis & Lesnar in the ring and a reminder of Triple H's arm being broken.

Cena is here now, with his injured left arm in a sling. Cena says he'd thought he'd be in the hospital but the hospital checks say his arm is not broken and his muscles are not torn, only strained. Cena says he's hurt and not injured so he is here are ready for the news. Cue John Laurinitis's music.

Cena says that he thinks to commemorate the re-release of 'No Holds Barred' on DVD, Zeus will be his opponent. Laurinitis says he wanted to push Cena to have the quality of match that he did. Cena trash talks on Laurinitis saying he's smoked too much and various other insults. Cena says it's a disgrace to the term 'People Power'. Laurinitis acknowledges that he's not fit to fight now and introduces his opponent at Over The Limit, as Lord Tensai makes his way down to the ring with Sakamoto.

Sakamoto and Tensai are in the ring, with Cena posing to attack, only for John Laurinitis to attack him from behind with the microphone followed by the announcement that Cena's opponent at Over The Limit is JOHN LAURINITIS!!!

Sakamoto & Tensai do their damage on Cena and put Cena's arm over the ring steps as Laurinitis grabs a chair from ringside and sandwiches Cena's arm in between the two. Raw ends with Cena out in the ring holding his hurt arm and Laurinitis making his way up the ramp, Cole looking on in shock.

Well, certainly a very eventful Monday Night Raw this week, who knows what'll happen over the next seven days. Be sure to be back here next week for all the action from Raw, only 2 weeks from Over The Limit.

Backstage Reaction To John Cena Vs Brock Lesnar

The general consensus backstage last night at Extreme Rules was the pay-per-view came off well. The CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena matches received rave reviews. There was a lot of chatter about Cena going over Lesnar in the main event. The feeling among most was that WWE should have waited before having Lesnar lose because getting a dominant former UFC Heavyweight Champion back on your roster doesn't happen often and now Lesnar appears as just another talent on the roster that has lost to Cena.

WWE.Com Reveals John Cena Was Injured At Extreme Rules

The following was posted on WWE.com CHICAGO – John Cena's victory over Brock Lesnar came with a steep price, as WWE.com has learned the Cenation leader suffered an injured left arm in his Extreme Rules Match against the wrecking machine at Extreme Rules in Chicago. Lesnar made it a point to punish Cena's arm in their hotly anticipated bout in Chicago's sold-out Allstate Arena, trapping his arm in a Kimura Lock halfway through their show-stopping clash. And while Cena – who also took an elbow in the opening moments of the match that split his head open – beat Lesnar by a narrow margin with an Attitude Adjustment on the steel steps, it appears he has ended up the worse for wear despite the victory. "The most obvious injury was the laceration to his head, which caused a substantial amount of bleeding," said WWE locker room physician Dr. Chris Amann. "He also has suffered a shoulder injury. Initial testing in the training room leads me to believe there may be torn muscles, possibly a torn rotator cuff or a biceps muscle." Unfortunately, there are no specifics available as to the extent of Cena’s condition, although he is still scheduled to appear on tomorrow's Raw SuperShow. Dr. Amann told WWE.com reporters that doctors would be conducting additional tests in the morning to determine the full scope of Cena’s injuries
