Live results for SUPER Smackdown 21/2/12

Hey guys, it's time for some live Smackdown and as ever, I'm here stepping in to give you all the details as to what goes down tonight.

We are on and confirmed for tonight is the champion vs champion match with Daniel Bryan taking on CM Punk, and also confirmed is Big Show vs Mark Henry.

Daniel Bryan is coming out with AJ on his side. Bryan comments that no-one thought that he would be in the main event at Wrestlemania. He says that the true underdog in the chamber match was him and not Santino. Cue some Rocky references with AJ. He says that he will beat Sheamus at WrestleMania and prove everyone wrong again. Even tonight, when he beats CM Punk.

AWESOME! cries out and The Miz is making his way to the ring. Miz says he knew he was going to be a champion when he mentored him on NXT in 2010. He adds that down the line, him and Bryan should become a tag team.

Sheamus makes his way out to the ring and congratuates Daniel Bryan for 'being an ARSE!', and adds that at Mania, people will be saying that when Sheamus beats him, that Bryan will have got what he deserves. Sheamus wants Miz out given how he doesn't have a Mania match. Daniel Bryan tries to attack Sheamus but stops him and after a brief scuffle with Miz, Sheamus throws him out of the ring, with Bryan & AJ already at the top of the ramp as we go to commercial.

We are back from the break and Smackdown GM Teddy Long has set up Sheamus in a match with The Miz over the commercial break.

MATCH 1 - Sheamus vs. The Miz
Early on in the match, Sheamus gets his signature chest chops on Miz in the ropes. Miz later takes command of the match, until Sheamus connects with a combo of clotheslines. Miz prepares for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Sheamus powers out of it. Sheamus puts the Finaly headlock slam on Miz and gets the pinfall.

WINNER - Sheamus

Backstage, and Aksana's with Teddy backstage and it's boring until John Laurinitis and David Otunga walks in (never thought I'd say that). Useless backstage bit only building up the Ezekiel Jackson vs. David Otunga rematch from Raw last night.

We are back from break and Raw promo for Rock next week is on.

Kofi is making his way out to the ring for a tag team contest. R-Truth is out next as Kofi's tag team partner. 'EXCUSE ME!'... Vickie is out to introduce Swagger & Zigger as Truth & Kofi's opponents.

MATCH 2 - Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero)
Swagger & Truth start out with Swagger and Ziggler getting the better of Truth, until Kingston gets the hot tag on Kofi. Kofi goes for a pinfall later on but is interrupted by Swagger. Truth gets thrown out the ring by Swagger only for Kofi to get rid of Swagger. While the ref is distracted by Vickie who slipped on the floor, Dolph gives a thumb to the eye to Kofi and hits the Zig Zag for the victory.

WINNERS - Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler

We're back from the break with a Hall Of Fame inductee announcement for DAMN himself, Ron Simmons.

Eugene's music is on which must mean a Santino segment, and it appears the cobra is having target practice, Heath Slater interrupts only to face the 'spitting cobra' that Santino has. It seems like Santino made an upgrade, as Slater recovers from being sprayed in the face with water by Santino.

Before they go to break, the mention the Twitter war between CM Punk & Chris Brown that went down earlier this week.

40 days to Wrestlemania package airs as we come back and Drew McIntyre is in the ring. Khali is coming out and Drew is complaining to the commentators for this match.

MATCH 3 - Drew McIntyre vs. The Great Khali
A chop & a Punjabi Plunge from Khali and that's it... sadly, I'm not kidding.

WINNER - The Great Khali

Backstage with Big Show and says that he's gonna knock Mark Henry out and Cody's gonna have his neck broken if he sees him as we have the match coming up after the break.

We are back and Mark Henry is making his way to the ring. They confirm that Henry's suspension has been lifted as Big Show comes out.

MATCH 4 - Mark Henry vs. Big Show
Big Show on the offensive early on but Henry then begins to get control of the match. Big Show then begins to get control and prepares for the WMD on Henry until Cody Rhodes interrupts the match to show on of 'Big Show's embarrasing Wrestlemania moments'. After it airs, Henry hits a scoop slam & body splash on Henry, but Show then knocks him out and goes after Cody. I'm guessing that this match is a no contest, given that it had no finish.

NO CONTEST

Now they're showing the Undertaker-HHH promo that happened last night on Raw.

Short little promo for WWE's 'Are You Serious' on Youtube.

Teddy Long is making his way out dancing to ringside, and brings Ezekiel Jackson with him. John Laurinitis then comes out doing the Teddy Long dancing (LOL) and Otunga is out as well for your next match.

MATCH 5 - Ezekiel Jackson (w/Teddy Long) vs. David Otunga (w/ John Laurinitis)
Ezekiel dominates Otunga very early on until Otunga rakes Ezekiel in the eye, gets a slam on Jackson and Otunga gets the pinfall victory. Wow. Big Zeke got de-pushed again.

WINNER - David Otunga

Recap from Raw last night and Eve's heel turn and Cena's 'Ho-ski' comment.

Punk backstage promo and Punk's doing impersonations of Laurinitis again. He also says that Bryan is seemingly stealing his 'Straight Edge' gimmick and that if he makes AJ shave her head, Punk will sue for gimmick infringement. Punk says that he's gonna beat Bryan tonight and it seems that the match will be coming up after the break.

Another Raw with Rock promo for Monday.

Daniel Bryan makes his way out first for the main event of the evening. CM Punk comes down the ramp next and we are ready to go.

MATCH 6 - Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk
Match starts with some great technical work between the two guys before they go to a break.

We're back and the two guys are continuing their technical work between each other. Punk goes aerial but gets chopped in the hurting arm of Punk from the chamber PPV a few nights agoand now Bryan is taking advantage of a hurt Punk. Great technical stuff from Bryan focusing on the injured arm of Punk. Punk powers out of it though and begins to start going on the offensive. Punk attempts a GTS but Bryan attempts to reverse it into a LeBell lock. Bryan leaves the ring only for Sheamus to throw him back in, GTS from Punk and Punk wins.

WINNER....

Wait, John Laurinitis comes out and says that due to outside interference, the match will be forced to continue and be restarted just before we go back to a break.

We are back and during the break, Punk threw Bryan into the barrier and went @YES!, YES!' mocking Bryan. Bryan gets a pinfall with assistance with the ropes and the 3 count.

WINNER...

Wait, Teddy Long is out now saying that the match needs to be restarted again.

Very sick spot just went down, Bryan thrown out by Punk, and dives on Bryan whilst connecting the back of his neck. Ouch. Later on, Punk goes for his elbow drop only for Bryan to stop him and soon after a pinfall is made, but both guys had their shoulders on the mats...

WINNER - ???

Both believe that they have won and Laurinitis comes in the ring and raises Bryan's hand. This then leads to Teddy coming in the ring to raise Punk's hand. Both GM's come face to face and both pull their jackets off as if we're going to have a face-off between the two, but Teddy leaves the ring and goes up the ramp as Smackdown goes off the air.

So that was an interesting episode of Smackdown I must say, but to find out what happens next, you'll have to tune in next week to both Raw & Smackdown .

Well, that's all from me for this time, now I need to rest after all the WWE action in the past 48 hours or so. ASHLEY OUT!

Words can't describe how happy I am about my best friend and former tag team partner Ron Simmons going into HOF! Well deserved, CONGRATS

As far as who is inducting Ron into the HOF-I would consider one of my greatest lifetime honors if I am chosen. However, it hasn't been announced-SO, if I knew who was I couldn't say. And, if I don't know I couldn't say either obviously. So, I wait on the announcement like everyone else.
