Update On Injuries From WWE Raw

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Wade Barrett suffered a serious arm injury catching Dolph Ziggler who was thrown over the top rope by Big Show during the main event Battle Royal on Raw.

You could see Barrett holding his right arm and furious immediately knowing he suffered a serious injury. An "X" was signaled and doctors rushed to the scene as the match went on. Making it worse, is that when Santino Marella was thrown over the top, he landed on Barrett's possibly broken arm. Ziggler was also hurt when his shoulder and arm crashed on the table and R-Truth needed help going to the back.

Kofi Kington was probably not hurt but when he was thrown out he had to change his trajectory to avoid Vickie Guerrero and had an ugly crash into the boards.

Cody Rhodes, who came into the match hurt from last night with a right thigh or hamstring injury, was limping badly and was hurt worse when he did a Disaster kick and the leg gave out. However he got up and had several more spots to do including play a hand in helping eliminate Show which allowed Jericho to win the match.

Live results for WWE Raw 2/20/2012

Whatsup guys and gals, and welcome to another WWE Raw recap. What will happen tonight on Raw as we find out who won last nights WWE Elimination Chamber matches, and what will happen with Chris Jericho after his fall last night. Stay tuned right here to find out as we are on the Road to Wrestlemania. Also don't forget to join us over at www.snsradionetwork.com for a live chat during the show.

To begin the show, we see backstage Eve and the Bella Twins talking, and Eve starts running down Zack Ryder (Eve is turning HEEL massively.) talking about how she has landed the big fish, aka John Cena, and she wants the Bellas to record her walking into Cena's locker room. But as Eve turns around Cena is standing behind her, and just looks at her and shakes his head and walks off, as Eve stands there confused.

Raw starts and out comes Cena with a bit of a smile on his face. As Cena panders to the crowd, Eve comes out trying to explain herself to Cena, who just stands there looking at her confused. Eve says she wants to explain everything, but Cena cuts her off, and says that he will fill everyone in on the cliffnotes about what happened backstage. Eve starts talking about how they have been friends for so long, and Cena says that he lost a big friend in Zack Ryder, but instead of waiting for the big fish why not go for the biggest fish there is, The Rock, because they are both scandalous bitches. Eve drops down and starts crying, so Cena goes over to check on her, and she starts trying to kiss him, Cena pulls back as Eve is just hugging on her, and asking for help in the camera, out comes the refs. Before Cena leaves the ring, he tells Eve he is disease free, and wants to stay that way, and leaves the ring.

They then show a vignette for the Undertaker appearing tonight on Raw, saying he will write HHH's ending for him.

1st match
Sheamus vs Mark Henry
Winner: Sheamus

Backstage we see John Laurinitus and David Otunga talking to Teddy Long, Long says that Smackdown is better and that anyone on his brand can beat David Otunga. Laurinitus tells Long to pick anyone and that tonight they will face Otunga.

2nd match
Kofi Kinston/R-Truth vs Primo/Epico
Winner(s): Kofi Kingston/R-Truth

The Next Inductee to the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame....... Only one word can descibe this man, DAMN, it is Ron Simmons.

Backstage we see Josh Matthews talking to Chris Jericho about last nights Elimination Chamber, talking about what kind of champion CM Punk is for letting the match end the way it did, and Jericho says that tonight is the end of the world as we know it, and every person in the battle royal tonight knows it, and even Punk knows it.

3rd match
David Otunga vs Ezekial Jackson
Winner: David Otunga

WWE comes back from commercial and the first thing we hear is the gong from the Undertakers bell, and out goes the lights, and out comes the Undertaker. Undertaker stands in the ring, and lets the fans chant his names. Undertaker says that throughout the year he has had to live with the beating that HHH gave him last year, after all the wounds have healed, but the future is uncertainity and it is hell. He came back to challenge HHH for one more match for the last time, and when HHH answered him, he could not believe the answer. Taker says that HHH missed the point, the choice is not his to make, this has to come to a end. They are on the verge of a apocalypse of wrestling, HHH and Taker are the last of their kind. So the suit, the tie, all the corporate liability are just layers covering up what he really is. They have to end the uncertainty, this is something he can lie to the fans about, something he can lie to shawn about, but its not something he can lie to Taker about. HHH has to come out there and look Taker in his eyes. The thing between Taker and HHH is far bigger than both of them, it is the apocalypse. Out comes HHH, saying that 3 weeks ago Taker came out....but Taker cuts him off by telling him to shut up.  Taker says that HHH is pitiful, by coming up with all the  excuses. But HHH tells him that its not their fate to end it, its their fate to carry it on, to make sure that the WWE is there to go on, and Undertakers fate, is to carry the torch for the next generation. Undertaker tells HHH to come back, and asks HHH is it bad for business if Undertaker is gone, or is it bad for business if HHH is gone. HHH says its just plain bad for business. While Taker has lived the past year in uncertainty, that HHH has never been more certain, that if Taker was to look in himself, he might see its certain also. Taker isn't asking HHH for revenge, Taker is asking for an end. Taker really wants HHH just to end him. HHH says he will not put an end to him. Taker says that when HHH looks in the mirror, all he is going to see is a coward. HHH was outside the ring, and jumps back into the ring at that word. HHH yells at Taker for calling him a coward, and as HHH goes to accept the match, but stops himself seeing that Taker was trying to goad him into the match, HHH then looks at Taker and says no. Taker says that he has figured it out, HHH can't do what his buddy HBK couldn't do, because HHH has always known that HBK is better than him. HHH is halfway up the ramp at this point, and starts taking his jacket off and turns around to Taker, and begins to walk down to the ring. HHH says that HBK couldn't get the job done, and HHH can, HBK couldn't finish it, but HHH can. (The fans begin chanting prove it to HHH) HHH says that the layers are gone, and he is standing in front of Taker, asking him if he really wants it, if he really wants it all to end. He tells Taker that he has got it. HHH says that if they do this, they go all the way, no returns, no excuses. HHH tells Taker he will face him on one condition, if Taker faces him in a Hell in the Cell. Taker leaves the ring, and gets to the top of the stage, but turns around to look back at HHH, and leaves. (Hell in a Cell at WM with HHH vs Undertaker? This just got real.)

4th match
Daniel Bryan vs Santino Marella
Winner: Daniel Bryan

5th match
Kelly Kelly/Aksana vs Bella Twins
Winner(s): Bella Twins

Cenas out talking about how the Rock isn't there this week, but he will be there next week. Cena just starts running down the Rock, saying that next week Rock should show up and then just leave again.  Cena then runs down the Rock after last years Rock will never leave again, and then leaves. Cena just runs down the Rock the entire time, and says that he will see him next week.

6th match 10 man Battle Royale for the #1 Contender to face CM Punk at Wrestlemania
Kofi Kingston vs Chris Jericho vs Santino Marella vs R-Truth vs Big Show vs Cody Rhodes vs Dolph Ziggler vs Wade Barrett vs Great Khali vs The Miz

1st eliminated: Great Khali
2nd eliminated: The Miz
3rd eliminated: Wade Barrett
4th eliminated: R-Truth
5th eliminated: Dolph Ziggler
6th eliminated: Cody Rhodes
7th eliminated: Santino Marella
8th eliminated: Cody Rhodes
9th eliminated: Big Show

Winner: Chris Jericho

Big show threw Dolph Ziggler via a military press, letting Wade Barrett and R-Truth catch him, but Big Show threw a little too hard and Dolph lands face first on the announcers table. But at the same time, Wade Barrett has injured his arm. EMT's come out with a stretcher to check out Barrett and Ziggler.

Chris Jericho is now the #1 contender for CM Punk's WWE title. CM Punk gets in the ring, and puts his hand out to shake Jericho's, but Jericho backs out of the ring and leaves, leaving Punk there with his hand out reached.

Well that was Raw, and wow is all I can say, from Undertaker and HHH to that battle royale. Wrestlemania is looking great. Well thanks for tuning in for a Raw recap, and don't forget to join us over at www.snsradionetwork.com for a live episode of Wrestling News Live. Thanks guys and see you next Monday.
