Live Results for WWE Raw Slammy Awards Special 12/12/11

Hey guys, Ashley here once again to give you the lowdown on everything going on at tonight's Raw, doubling up as the Slammy awards.

We are underway and the first award is the 'Tell Me I Did Not Just See That' award presented by Booker T and Hornswoggle in an afro. Do not know why.
Nominees: Jim Ross Dancing, Santino in the Royal Rumble final 2, R-Truth getting soda'd by a fan, The Miz dressed as the Rock.
WINNER - Jim Ross dancing.

Obviously, Cole isn't impressed. More insults hurled at JR, but Booker stops him, calling him a loser and says that JR could beat Cole in a rap-off. Cue a rapping contest and as expected, Cole just bashes JR and Lawler in his rap. JR basically says to Michael Cole 'Kiss My Ass'. Just for that, JR deserved to win, but not a great opening segment. Oh wait, it's not over, Booker is now asking JR to give the crowd a JR-roonie. He does the best job he can probably do. But that was a not great start to Raw.

Mick Foley is shown backstage, so another bad moment may be on it's way.

Foley appears with the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase for the announcement of the 'HOLY SHIT' moment of the year.
Nominees: Sheamus slams Sin Cara on a Ladder (Money In The Bank), Randy Orton RKO's Christian on steel steps (Summerslam), Big Show & Mark Henry break the ring (Vengeance), Evan Bourne doesan Air Bourne in the Money In The Bank mathc (Money in The Bank)
WINNER - Mark Henry & Big Show break the ring (Vengeance)

Big Show cuts a promo on Mark Henry and how he wants the World Heavyweight Title. To celebrate, he's going to be in ring action next. And his opponent is Wade Barrett, interesting. Before they go to break, Wade cuts a promo on his match with Randy Orton on Sunday and his upcoming match with Big Show.

1. Big Show Vs. Wade Barrett
We are break from the break and the match is already in full flow. Show is put over a table and Barrett attempts to put him through the table. Big Show gets up though and smashed through the table himself and slaps Wade from the apron into the ring. Wade then grabs a chair and attempts to hit Show with it, which causes a disqualification, by Show blocks it with a punch that appears to have affected his hand.

WINNER (By DQ) - Big Show

Road Dogg is brought to the stage for the next award. Road Dogg giving his intro as ever. Nice to see him. He's awarding the Pipebomb of the year:
Nominees: Too numerous to mention, but a lot involve Zack Ryder, Booker T, Santino, CM Punk & R-Truth. Some very classic moments from 2011 showcased.
WINNER - CM Punk for the original 'Pipebomb' and all his antics.

CM Punk comes out with a mannequin dressed as Johnny Ace. Very nice little shoot on John Laurinitis including a funny little video of Laurinitis, both past & present. This is actually briiliant, all put to 'The Touch' from Transformers. That was a brilliant few minutes.

Diva-Licious Moment of The Year is next and is being presented by former Diva Lita (from stright outta jail it seems)
Nominees: Natalya's double sharpshooter, Kelly Kelly wins the Divas title, Kharma taking out Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix top-rope Glam Slam at Survivor Series.
WINNER - Kelly Kelly

Kelly accepts, but Beth and Natalya come out and a cat fight ensues... for about 4 seconds. Then that's it. Yep, that all the recognition the Divas are getting it seems, less than a minute.

Santino is out next to present the OMG moment of the year, accompanied by the Bella Twins. Fail intro.
Nominees: HHH tombstones Undertaker, Rock Bottom On Cena, Superstar Walk Out, Punk Takes The WWE Title With Him.
WINNER - HHH tombstones Undertaker

Triple H comes out with his trusty sledgehammer to a huge reaction from the crowd. He's coming down to the ring to give a promo it seems. HHH says the true OMG moment was Undertaker not leaving the ring without assistance and disappearing, thus ending the streak. That logic doesn't make sense. Triple H then turns to the situation with Kevin Nash and cuts a promo on their match this coming Sunday. Santino offers the trophy to HHH. but with the look he's given, Santino takes it with him backstage.

David Otunga & Tony Atlas are coming out now to award the '#Trending' Superstar Of The Year, they will compete in a Fatal 4-Way Match. Whoever manages to trend first on Twitter whilst the match is in progress will get the award.

Nominees: Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler & Zack Ryder

2. Fatal 4-Way Match for '#Trending' Superstar Of The Year - Zack Ryder Vs. Cody Rhodes Vs. Daniel Bryan Vs. Dolph Ziggler

Some aerial exploits from Bryan & Ryder to Rhodes & Ziggler respectively outside as we go to break.

We come back and the heels and then the faces begin to feud with each other in the match. Despite teasing the heels not get along, they work together for a great duration, until they try to pin each other the faces are then thrown out of the ring and Ziggler & Rhodes pose as we go to another break.

We come back from break and a triple clothesline happens with Ryder, Bryan & Ziggler. Cross rhodes by Cody on Ziggler but only gets a 2 count. Double superplexes by Ziggler on Ryder and Rhodes on Bryan. Rough Ryder on Ziggler, then Cross Rhodes to Ryder, Bryan attempts to lock in the Lebell Lock on Rhodes but gets out Ziggler then hits the Zig-Zag on Bryan to get the match win.
MATCH WINNER - Dolph Ziggler

Lawler then enters the ring to announce the award winner for the '#trending' Superstar of the year is... ZACK RYDER. But Ryder's celebration is cut short by Ziggler giving him a Zig-Zag. Good little match there.

Next award is the Game Changer Of The Year and Christian is out on his crutches to present it. Christian gets some heat from the crowd for asking why he isn't nominated in the category.
Nominees: HHH & Mr. McMahon, Edge Retires, Kevin Nash returns at Summerslam to attack CM Punk, Rock & Cena.
WINNER - Rock & Cena at Wrestlemania 28 announced

Cena comes out to a mixed reaction as ever. Attempts to bring out The Rock, so it turns into a shoot on Rock never leaving. Cena says the real gamechanger will be at Wrestlemania 28 on April 1.

We are back and are set for a tag team match.
3. Alberto Del Rio & The Miz Vs. Randy Orton & CM Punk
Some back and forth action between the two tag teams for the first few minutes, whilst we go to break.

This good little match continues until we get Punk reaching for a hot tag on Orton. But Del Rio prevents it depite not being the legal man. While the ref is distracted, Wade Barrett ran in from the crowd and pulls Orton off the apron. Punk then attempts a GTS on Miz only to be reversed into a Skull Crushing Finale and gets the win.
WINNERS - The Miz & Alberto Del Rio

Miz & Del Rio then work together to attack Punk, using the ladder propped outside the ring. while this was happening, Orton ran off into the crowd to try and find Wade Barrett.

Vickie Guerrero & Goldust have come out to present the award for the A-Lister of the year, basically the best guest star of the year.
Nominees: Hugh Jackman, The Muppets, Snooki, Cee-Lo Green
WINNER - Snooki

Snooki has a pre-recorded video saying thanks and wishing her Browski Zack Ryder all the best for his match on Sunday.

Backstage interview now with Mark Henry. Says that Cena shouldn't be worried about Wrestlemania but about being inducted into the Hall Of Pain.

We are back from break and Sheamus is coming out for a match.
4. Sheamus Vs. Jinder Mahal
Sheamus gives a Brogue Kick to Jinder and before the match even starts, it's all over.

NO MATCH HAPPENS. What a great segment that was (note the sarcasm)

Superstar of The Year is being awarded now and being presented by Rey Mysterio, good to see him back in WWE. This is the only award that is probably truly voted by the WWE Universe.
Nominees: Randy Orton, The Miz, CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, Mark Henry & John Cena
WINNER - CM Punk

John Laurinitis comes out to a hail of boos from the crowd. He says that he will accept the award on behalf of CM Punk due to not being fit to accept after being beaten up earlier.

'Control.' cryptic promo airs before it goes to break.

just before the main event, they mention one of the soldiers from the Virginia area, who hugged Vince McMahon for a few minutes when he, The Bellas & kofi Kingston went over to Afghanistan. Although she's still on active service in Afghanistan, she probably got a surprise by seeing her husband and her kid in the crowd with a specially presented WWE title belt. Nice little moment there.

We are back and our main event is on the way.
5. Mark Henry Vs. John Cena
Cena gets shoved down by Henry and we go to break.

We come back and Henry is beating down on Cena until Cena has his Supercena moment and the five knuckle shuffle. he attempts the AA but gets slammed by Henry. Henry then manages to grab Cena and give him a bearhug and a world's strongest slam. Pyro explodes and the arena falls into darkness... Kane's music hits in a new variation and Kane appears with a new look and most importantly a welder's mask on. He comes down to the ring with Henry outside and Cena staggering around. Kane grabs Cena and gives him a chokeslam. He then takes off his welder's mask and reveals... Kane's new mask, hard to see what it looks like with all the red lights on Kane but it's certainly different to his previous mask from when he debuted. Kane stands in the ring over Cena and just stares into the camera and the crowd to close Raw.

Well, that's your lot from me for this time... now I need to get my own mask it seems, knowing my luck it'll be a Sin Cara one. Ashley OUT!!
