TV Rating For WWE Raw 12/5/11

Source: tvbythenumbers.com

WWE's December 5th RAW Supershow from Tampa, FL drew a 2.97 cable rating and averaged 4,352,000 viewers. This is down form last week's 3.23 (4,483,000 viewers) and RAW's 2nd lowest rating in the past 10 weeks.

Once again - the trend of RAW losing viewers in hour two continued, with hourly ratings of 3.02 and 2.91. RAW lost approximately 100,000 viewers in hour two.

Ric Flair Says He Has No Plans To Retire

In an interview with The Skinny, Ric Flair said the following:

"To be honest I have no plans on retiring from the industry anytime soon. I feel that I still have so much to give to TNA. If the time ever comes that I cannot contribute anything to the company that is when I would have to consider my position within TNA. I am privileged that I have a limited schedule in TNA so my time in many respects is my own. Just now I like to spend time with my family and love to do some fishing. When I retire I’ll be doing more of the same."

Update On Former ECW Arena

Credit:PWInsider

For some time today, it appeared that the fabled former ECW Arena, now operating as The Asylum Arena, had hosted its last pro wrestling event as the building's general manager Roger Artigiani contacted promoters who had equipment housed in the facility and told them they had 48 hours to remove their items from the property.
Several weeks ago The Philadelphia Daily News featured an article about issues between Artigiani, and another potential leaseholder, Joanna Pang, that wanted to expand and make the venue a concert hall while potentially eliminating pro wrestling events. As it turns out, a deal was made, with Artigiani agreeing to sell off his side of the business to Pang.

Initially, it appeared that was going to be it for wrestling events in the venue, but a scheduled January double header featuring CZW and EVOLVE will still go on as scheduled. CZW owner DJ Hyde will be meeting with Pang going forward regarding use of the venue, although wrestling schools operated by CHIKARA and CZW will be moving from the property. CZW still expects to run the venue as they have run more shows there than any other company, but the future of additional groups running the legendary venue is still up in the air.

The venue debuted as a wrestling arena for ECW when founder Tod Gordon ran there in 1993. It quickly became one of the more famous wrestling venues in the world
