TNA Touts Record Rating


New York, NY, October 25, 2011 – TNA’s “IMPACT WRESTLING” on Thursday, October 20 (9:00-11:00pm ET/PT) drew over 2.2 million viewers, making it the highest watched show in its Thursday night timeslot ever and the second-most watched episode in the six years it has aired on Spike TV. The highest being a special Monday night telecast in January 2010 featuring the TNA debut of Hulk Hogan.

The Spike TV telecast ranked #2 in the hard-to-reach demographic of 18-49, placing second behind MTV’s megahit, “Jersey Shore.” The event featured the crowning of a new TNA World Heavyweight Champion, James Storm, who defeated his arch nemesis and former Olympic champ, Kurt Angle.

This Thursday, “IMPACT WRESTLING” will feature TNA Heavyweight Champion James Storm in action, the in-ring return of Jeff Hardy as well as TNA Knockout Gail Kim. Also appearing are “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles and many more.

Note On Alicia Fox's New Theme Song

According to a few readers, the theme song used by Alicia Fox on Raw was the same song Maria Kanellis used in 2005-2006. The song is called "Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa-Party" and can be heard at this link.

Update On Sean Waltman And WWE

As seen on RAW this week, Triple H name-dropped Sean Waltman and Shawn Michaels when talking about his friends in the business. It was noted by some backstage that Triple H did not mention Scott Hall or Ric Flair because of their situations. Regarding Waltman working with WWE again, most believe that he will be hired as some kind of agent for FCW once Triple H's developmental changes are figured out and begin.

New WWE Trademarks

According to PWInsider, WWE has trademarked the term "Broski".

The name for the WWE Network reality show with Legends living in a house will be called "WWE House of Fame." WWE recently trademarked that name and "WWE WrestleMania Rewind" for the WrestleMania recap show on the network.

WNL returned to the airwaves on the SNS Radio Network with “The Outlaw of the IWC” The TreyDawg & “The Returning “Mr. Money on the Mic” JJ (ALL CAPS) $exay. The boys discussed the fallout from last nights WWE Vengeance PPV which saw the return of Kevin Nash and Big Show once again breaking a WWE Ring via a huge Superplex. The boys ran down the “News of the Week” sponsored by Wrestling-Online.com. After the break the show turned into a podcast as the boys were unable to restore the stream and the discussion turned to James Storm’s recent TNA title victory and news surrounding that some in the company are uncertain with him as champion. Trey and JJ ran down the 10-24-11 RAW as Nash once again attacked Trips, Miz and Truth ran rabid again, and JoMo continued his farewell tour of the WWE, and John Cena named the Rock as his Survivor Series partner. JJ and Trey ran down some WWE12 news and changes coming to the network and facebook page before wrapping the show with some Rob Zombie on the latest edition of WNL.
