Update On Mick Foley Possibly Returning To WWE

There has been lots of talk lately about Mick Foley making his WWE return. Word is that if Foley and WWE agree on something, he will be returning in late Fall.

Foley will reportedly be involved in the John Cena vs. The Rock storyline going into WrestleMania 28 and possibly act as a mouthpiece of sorts for The Rock when he can't be there live in person.

It's believed that Foley won't return for a full-time TV role but will work a Legends deal and do appearances and other gigs for the company

Report: WWE Looking At at Signing Cruiserweight Wrestlers

According to PWInsider, there has been discussion within WWE lately about the company looking to see what cruiserweight or light heavyweight talents are out there and signing them to developmental deals.

It hasn't been confirmed yet that WWE will be doing a full-fledged revival of the cruiserweight division but they are interested in bringing talents who fit that bill. The idea is that cruiserweights will give guys like Evan Bourne or Sin Cara someone to work with and would add a quality of wrestling to WWE's under card.

Stay tuned right here for Live results for WWE Raw. And don't forget to join us over at for discussions during Raw. And also a special Wrestling News Live after Raw tonight with a special guests. Tune in to find out who it is over at

We start Raw off with Alberto Del Rio coming out to Ricardo Rodriguez announcing him to come out. They show video footage of last weeks Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio match, showing footage of him attacking Mysterio after the match and injuring him. Alberto Del Rio speaks, and says, "My Name" before John Cena's music hits and out he comes to a chorus of boo's. Cena says that everybody knows who ADR is, that everyone knows that its his destiny to hold the title. But Cena has come out to re-introduce himself, he is John Cena and hes the guy whos going to take the title off of Alberto Del Rio's waist. And that hes going to hurt ADR, hes going to hurt him so bad that hes going to go running back to his parents house. Don't get him wrong, Cena is a nice guy, but the nice guy act is fading away. And there is only 1 person who can go toe to toe with Cena as a chant of CM Punk comes over, and Cena says that since he is not CM Punk he is going to kick his ass. And CM Punks music hits and out he comes to a loud and raucous cheer. All 3 men stand in the ring as a loud CM Punk chant comes out of the Canadian crowd. Punk asks if this is a re-run because John Cena is asking for another title shot. But if anyone is going to get a title shot, its going to be Punk. Cena asks Punk why hes not going to get a title shot, and ADR interrupts both of them saying that it is his time because he is the champion. Punk asks ADR if hes done, and Punk tells him that he should never interrupt Punk again. Punk says he knows that Cena has had problems with HHH and that Punk is having problems with HHH, hell Punk insulted Stephanie straight to her face. Alberto Del Rio tells Punk that him holding the belt is destiny, but Punk says he will be using his rematch clause, and then Cena says that hes going to use his rematch clause. But Del Rio says that hes going to ignore both of them tonight as he defended his title last week, tonight is his night to celebrate, as HHH's music hits and out he comes in a suit. First thing out HHH tells ADR to take that smug look off of his face because Hunter is not there to protect him. As for the rematch clause, they aren't like Money in the Bank, they can't use them whenever they want. But as for ADR and Night of Champions, and who his opponent will be is the winner of the main event as Cena takes on Punk. But ADR has a match and its next.

1st match
Alberto Del Rio vs John Morrison
Winner: Alberto Del Rio

After the match Alberto Del Rio puts the armbar on John Morrison as he lays outside the ring on the mat.

2nd match
Eve (w/ Kelly Kelly) vs Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella)
Winner: Eve

After the match Natalya and Beth Phoenix walk out on stage and clap once again for Kelly Kelly and Eve.

Vickie is announced in the ring, and she announces her newest protege, Jack Swagger.

3rd match
Jack Swagger vs Alex Riley
Winner: Alex Riley

Out comes HHH talking about Summerslam and the moments after the WWE Title match and the controversy. HHH asks Kevin Nash to come out so they can talk about what happened and whats going on. HHH said that Nash thought he was helping out a buddy, but Nash knew he didn't receive the message from HHH. Nash said he was coming out tonight to apoligize to CM Punk but after all the crap that HHH ran past Nash last week, and hes not going to do that now. Because of all the stuff that Punk said to Nash. HHH says that Nash doesn't work here, that Nash can't be calling people out like that. Nash says that the security from last week wasn't for his safety, it was for Punk's. HHH tells Nash once again he doesn't work there, that he can't call out Punk, but he can go across the street and call him over there and beat him over there. Out comes CM Punk, and all he wants to know is who sent the text message. Punk looks at Nash and says you were going to apoligize to me? You should have just apoligized, that Punk crossed the line last week? Punk is a line stepper, he steps across the line all the time, just like Nash. Punk says that last week Nash got off easy, but tonight hes going to kick his ass. HHH pushes Punk to the side, and Punk tells him to get his hands off him. But Punk starts asking HHH whos really running the show? HHH? Big Sexy? Or Hunters bean headed wife? HHH tells Punk hes not the same man as before, that he will kick Punks ass. Punk tells HHH he doesn't  want him to fold up the suit and put it in his wifes purse where he keeps his cell phone, and his balls. And Nash decks Punk from the side as HHH pushes Nash outside the ring and starts talking to Nash as Punk sits up and starts smiling and laughing.

Back from commercial we see HHH and Nash backstage, HHH telling Nash that he can't put his hands on the superstars. HHH tells Nash that he has to leave and Nash says that HHH has changed.

4th match Tag Team Title Match
Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne vs David Otunga and Micheal McGillicutty
Winner(s): Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne are the new Tag Team Champions

Backstage we see a celebration with Kofi and Bourne. We then see HHH walking backstage as John Laurinitus comes running up to him to tell him that Kevin Nash has been in a accident and has been taken to the hospital. HHH asks Laurinitus if he has everything under control as HHH starts to leave.

5th match was supposed to involve Santino Marella, but instead he gets attacked from behind by The Miz and R-Truth. Miz and Truth beat down Marella in the ring as Truth gets a mic and tells everyone to shut up. He then says thats what will happen to all the little Jimmies every time. Truth says that he knows that there is a conspiracy around because HHH is in charge. He then tells Miz that its no longer about him. Miz says that he cant believe he is agreeing with Truth, and he was just main eventing Wrestlemania with John Cena only a few months ago, but then HHH takes charge and Miz is no longer the top person. They then insult Canada and Miz says hes going to talk slow for everyone. Miz says hes tired of seeing Santino on Raw when he hasn't won in 5 years (really 5 years?), when Miz and Truth are sitting in the back. But now, Miz and Truth are going to take anything they want, and that people are going to get got, and its AWESOME.

5th match Number 1 Contendership match for the Undisputed WWE Championsip
John Cena vs CM Punk
Winner: John Cena

During the match Kevin Nash comes walking out and distracts Punk to cause Punk to lose. After Cena gets the pin Alberto Del Rio who was sitting at ringside attacks Cena and completely destroys him as Johnny Ace aka John Laurinitus rushes in to pull ADR off of Cena, but ADR pushes through and continues to attack Cena multiple times as Laurinitus continues to pull him off. The camera fades to black as we see Alberto Del Rio staring down at John Cena and Laurinitus pushing him back.

Well thats Raw for tonight. Thanks for tuning in guys, and don't forget to go over to for Wrestling News Live with your hosts The TreyDawg and JJ$exay with special guest, Rowdy Roddy Piper. Its definitely looking to be a big show tonight. So thanks for joining us, and hope to see you in chat for WNL. Peace

Interview Transcript Tyrone Evans AKA Michael Tarver Speaks Out On John Cena, Nexus's debut & What Went Wrong, NXT & More

Show: Unplugged

Hosts: Crelly and JJ

Former Nexus member Tyrone Evans aka Michael Tarver was a guest on this week’s Unplugged, located at , hosted by Crelly and JJ. The show in full can be heard at this link starting at the 43 minute mark. Below are some of the highlights:

What the Nexus members were told prior to their Raw debut:

Well actually, we didn’t know anything until the night we showed up at the arena. We weren’t told anything, we showed up pre show, did our usual rehearsals and right before the show started we got pulled into an office and we were told there was a decision made about The Nexus. Wade Barrett was approached and he approached the rest of us and we all sat down and had this very intense meeting and agreed not to tell anyone in the Locker room. Basically we were told if this leaked out, it was coast us our jobs but if we did it correctly, the potential could be unbelievable. When I walked out there, I can even describe the feeling of walking out through the crowed and seeing people’s reaction. When we left, the arena was like a cold, dead silence and no one left(the arena). Like I said, we weren’t told much until the very last minute and the rest of the locker room didn’t even know and they started questioning us when they saw us warming up at the end of the very last match of the night as everyone was about to leave and we come out and destroy everything…. They told us two things; destroy everything and don’t touch the cameras. Apparently during the melee, there was a fan, and if you remember there was a bell ringing and no one there to ring it, a fan had reached over the guard rail and started ringing the bell.

What the Nexus members were told about the release of Daniel Bryan:

There were a lot of things floating around as far as the reason for that: one being that he choked out someone with a tie, that he spit in John Cena’s face and we were never given deferent answer to why that happened, we were all surprised and we were all very much surprised at Summerslam when he came back. We kind of had a clue he was coming back but we weren’t sure and WWE is really good about keeping their storylines behind closed doors to protect them.. in most cases. We weren’t really told much; we were just very disappointed and surprised by it. I remember personally reaching out to him and never heard anything and I was like, “Ok, what’s going on” as I’m friends with him but you don’t know, it could have been a planned angle from the start.

Who or What was meant to be The Nexus’s “Higher Power”?

As far as the story when, we has gotten a hint that there had been someone pulling the strings behind Wade Barrett as what was told to us and what we had to portray. It never came to light, who or what it may be. There was a lot of speculation with fans as far as who was doing the talking and who was doing the writing and who was pulling the strings. There was a lot of things behind the scenes that the fans didn’t see that if they has seen, would have seen the Nexus in a new perspective on the entire thing.

What lead to The Nexus being disbanded?

We honestly did not know. As far as what happened, we did not understand why we had to lose at SummerSlam but we had to understand and appreciate being there. In my opinion, I felt we could have come away with the victory there and it wouldn’t have hurt any of the Superstars that we were working with because they were long sine established and we were just getting established. As far as Darren Young getting eliminated, we were never told why, the fans were never told why then Skip Sheffield had a really bad injury to his leg and then my injury as well.

His opinion on John Cena:

Professionally, I have the up most respect for John Cena. I think John Cena is the face of the company and should be the fact of the company because there is no one there that can do it the way he does it. John Cena is who he is for a reason, I’ve never seen anyone work as hard as he does and the man is working (between) 5 and 7 days a week for WWE, Basically he is WWE. Personally, I don’t really care for him but it doesn’t matter if I care for him.

His side of the story about John Cena purposely injuring him with a chair:

That night, David Otunga and I knew that we were taking chair shots and we knew when we were taking them, something of that magnitude can be dangerous and we were prepared for it. I had my reservations about it because on an independent show in 2005, a guy I was working with hurt me pretty bad with a chair, hitting me in the back of the head and necking leading to me being temporally unconscious and paralyzed for 45 minutes so I had reservations about taking chair shots. (During the segment), I look over and see David Otunga taking his shot and it sounded like it was a lot harder than it show have been so as I prepared for mine, I felt it and it felt like he was trying to swing for a home run so I dropped out and I wasn’t selling it because I was legit hurt. As I’m laying there, I see David Otunga taking multiple chair shots, more than the one that we were told we were taking so when I saw that I decided to get out of there because I was thinking about what happened in 2005 and when I get up, I see part of a chair swinging towards me and I put my left arm up to protect myself.

Now before I continue, when you are in a situation like that in pro wrestling/sports entertainment and you know there is something that dangerous planned, there is no reason for you to have to protect yourself in that way from being legitimate hurt. There is a reason to protect yourself in a match to get that part over but to protect yourself like if you were getting shot at is something different. I’m not trying to say Cena was trying to maliciously hurt me, I’m just saying he wasn’t being very careful. So when he swung the chair, and I put my arm up to project myself, the point of the chair caught my left arm and immediately felt bones crack and knew something was seriously wrong so I ran because I wasn’t going to take another shot as I knew I couldn’t protect myself.

I get backstage and its customary being a rookie, being as it is entertainment and we work together, for you to shake hands and thank the person, especially someone like John Cena, to shake his hand and thank him for that experience because he didn’t have to work with me or any of us for that matter. I’m in the back and I’m kicking all the trash cans and I’m angry and I’m trying not to yell because I didn’t want to lose my job. As he came back, I put my hand out and said “Thank You” and he just looked at me and walked past and of course I was even more angry. He made it about five more steps, looked over his shoulder, laughed and said “How’s the arm?” and I said “It’s fine” and he laughed again and walked off.

Other subjects in the interview include: People comparing the Nexus to the New World Order, Tarver’s thoughts on Wade Barrett as a leader, His thoughts on CM Punk being given the Nexus, His thoughts on the concept of NXT, Rumours that he was to portray a Virgil type character for Ted DiBiase Jr, What was planned before his WWE Release, his MMA Training and more in this hour long interview

TNA Gets New TV Slot In The UK

Impact Wrestling will now be broadcast on Sunday nights in the UK and Ireland after winning record ratings on Challenge TV.
The show – which features Hulk Hogan, Sting, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, the TNA Knockouts and many other huge wrestling stars – will now air every Sunday night at the earlier time of 9:00pm starting this Sunday, August 28.

A repeat of the episode will then be shown every Tuesday at 10pm in Impact Wrestling’s current slot.

The move to an earlier day in the week is due to fan feedback, with British and Irish
fans using social media to request transmission closer to the US airing of Thursday nights.

It is also a recognition of the ratings Impact Wrestling has received since starting on Challenge in February. In the last six months, the programme has doubled its audience and become the most watched weekly wrestling show on British television of the last 10 years.

Companion show TNA Xplosion recently moved to a prime time slot on Challenge and is broadcast every Wednesday night at 10pm. Impact Wrestling’s monthly PPV events will also continue to go out on a Wednesday night at 10pm, with Xplosion moving to midnight on Tuesday on those weeks.
Challenge is part of Sky TV and can be found on Sky channel 125, Freeview channel 46 and Virgin Media channel 139.

Andy Barton, Impact Wrestling’s Executive Vice President, said: “We’re thrilled with the success we’ve been enjoying in the UK and were determined to reward the fans by giving them exactly what they’ve been asking for – Impact Wrestling earlier in the week.”

“Sunday nights will never be the same again!”

Barbara Gibbon, Sky’s Director of Production for Sky Entertainment Channels, added:

“We are delighted to be working with Impact Wrestling at this exciting time.”
“British and Irish fans are among the most ardent in the world – and we are thrilled to be able to bring them all the latest action on Challenge.”

Changes Within And WWE Magazine

According to sources within the company, Stephanie McMahon is now in charge of WWE website as a result of structural changes made in recent weeks.

A few weeks back, the company merged the website and magazine departments. We have heard that the magazine side of things are now overseeing the website, an edict made by Stephanie McMahon that led to the departure of Brian Kalinowski last week.

The corporate side of the site was pulled and redirects to the main URL address apparently so the company can make changes to that side of their website.
