TNA Releases Shark Boy

According to his official site, Sharkboy has parted ways with TNA Wrestling. He posted the following:

I have officially requested and been granted my
release from TNA Wrestling. I would like to take
this opportunity to thank everyone at TNA for giving
me the opportunity to perform in front of their
audience since the very early days of the company.

TNA star Amazing Red makes his CHIKARA debut at King of Trios 2011

The weekend of April 15, 16 and 17th will see 48 wrestlers converge on the former ECW Arena in South Philadelphia for the monstrous King of Trios 2011! In all, 16 trios will compete across the three days, until just one is left standing. Joining us this year is a trio captained by TNA star The Amazing Red! Attendance For Recent WWE Tour

WWE's recent RAW brand tour of South America was considered a success. Here are some numbers:

* February 23rd in Santiago, Chile drew 7,000 fans for $330,000.
* February 24th in Guayaquil, Ecuador drew 7,000 fans for $300,000.
* February 25th in Quito, Ecuador drew 14,500 for $550,000. This would be WWE's biggest live event crowd so far this year.
* February 26th in San Jose, Costa Rica drew 10,000 fans for $465,000.

The CAWsCast 3-1-11 Archived

The CAWsCast returned on 3-1-11 with your hosts "The Phenom" Charles Shane and "Mr. Money on the Mic" JJ (ALL CAPS) $exay. On the show JJ and Charles ran down the fallout from the 2-28-11 edition of Monday Night RAW with The Rock's response to Cena's rap....via sateliate. Unfortunately due to a last minute schedule change Marcus Stephenson was unable to join the show but is scheduled to join JJ and Charles next week. After the break Charles explained the recent controversy his Beard is causing on the forums and The boys took calls and discussed the roster for WWE ALLSTARS and talked about a few problems that a few listeners are having currently with SVR2011. JJ threw out a trivia question to the listeners regarding "Good Ole JR" since this weeks giveaway courtesy of THQ was some of JR's Bar B-Que sauce.

Who Will Be Sin Cara's Training Partner

Sin Cara is scheduled to train in Los Angeles with WWE developmental star Alex Koslov, known as Peter Orlov, since Koslov has experience at working the Lucha Libre style and WWE's American style of wrestling. Koslov will also be used as a stand-in and "opponent" when they film Cara in the ring doing high-flying moves for his entrance video and other introductory promos, since WWE has no footage of him.

Breakdown of WWE Raw TV Rating

In a segment breakdown, the show opened at a 3.78 rating with Triple H's promo and attack on Sheamus. Evan Bourne's return vs. Sheamus lost 187,000 viewers while the segment with Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole and Jack Swagger gained 386,000 viewers back. This segment did well for that usual time in the show and ended up being the second-most watched segment this week with a 3.93 rating.

Randy Orton vs. Michael McGillicutty lost 95,000 viewers but the segment with Alex Riley, The Miz and John Cena coming out gained 67,000 back. There's been a trend in ratings where The Miz is put on a part of the show that usually draws but it's not drawing with him featured.

The Divas Battle Royal lost 308,000 viewers but The Rock's promo gained 482,000 back, to a 4.03 rating, in a segment of the show that usually loses viewers. The interview with Shawn Michaels and The Miz attacking Daniel Bryan lost 389,000 viewers. The Cena vs. Riley cage match gained 167,000 viewers in the overrun, ending at a 3.86. This is low for RAW's usual overrun.
